Virginia was instrumental in getting the Education Foundation started at Turpin.  Virginia was very enthusiastic about the idea of an Education Foundation at Turpin because of the additional funds that would then be available for education.  Virginia was truly interested in anything that promoted the education of the students, “she was a true educator”.  Her philosophy was “All kids will learn, not in the same day or in the same way, but all kids will learn.”
